This walking tour starts from the American Military Cemetery in Colleville sur mer which overlooks Omaha Beach. After visiting this empressive site, we will hike along Omaha Beach to discover each sector of DDay and to understand this historic and dramatic coast.

Approximately 34 000 soldiers of the famous 1st and 29th Infantry Divisions landed on this beach on DDay. This place was covered in anti-tank and anti-landing craft obstacles. Only a few days after DDay, the Americans had transformed nearly the entire beach into a vast artificial harbour, code named "Mulberry A"...
